Buffy Boardgame

Print off the pieces of the boardgame, cut them out and then glue them on a piece of bristleboard or cardboard to make it hard. You can also glue the cards onto construction paper to make them stronger. You will also need gamepieces for all the players and for the moon. you may use coins, or pieces from other games.

Rules of the Game:

You need 2 or more players to play this game! Decide on one person to be the slayer, and the rest are vampires. To begin, place your slayer game piece on the angel statue in the center of the board. Then place all the vampires on numbers 1-4 on the right side of the gameboard (the side without the manholes). More than one vampire can occupy a number if there are more than 4 vampires. Sort the Slayer and Vampire cards into two piles, and place one on either side of the center, in the grassy areas. Place a gamepiece on the "dusk" space of the moon cycle (at the top of the game). You will also need a dice.

The goal of the game for the vampires is to get to the manhole on the other side of the board that has the same number as the space they started on, before the slayer catches them and before the sun rises. The goal for the slayer is to catch as many vampires as she can before they escape into the sewers. The slayer catches a vampire when she lands on the same space as them. The vampire has then lost and is out of the rest of the game.

The first player rolls the dice and moves that number of squares. All players can move whichever direction they would like, including backwards. If a player lands on a space with a tombstone, they must pick up a card that corresponds with what they are, slayer or vampire. Then they must read the card aloud, then follow it's instructions. If the moon piece gets to "dawn", all vampires that are not in the sewers die, and the slayer wins!
