This page is dedicated to all of the characters on Buffy or Angel who have died. They are in order of who died first.
Jenny Calendar was a gypsy disguised as a teacher at Sunnydale High. Giles was in love with her. She was supposed to watch over Angel and make sure he didn't get any happiness so he wouldn't turn evil. When he did turn evil, she tried to find and translate the curse that would make him good again. When Angelus found out, he killed her.
Allen Francis Doyle was sent by the Powers That Be to help Angel in his quest for redemption. When Angel asks him why, Doyle replies, "we all got something to attone for". In the episode, Hero, he sacrifices himself for Angel, Cordelia and many others.
Joyce Summers is Buffy's mom. She dies of a brain aneurysm. Buffy comes home one day and finds her dead on the couch.
Tara Maclay comes to Buffy in season 4. Her and Willow fall in love. They practice a lot of magic together. Then Willow starts to use magic for everything. Tara warns her to stop, but Willow doesn't so Tara leaves her. After a while, Tara returns, but while her and Willow are talking, a loose bullet from Warren's gun comes flying through the window and kills her.
Anya Jenkins was a vengeance demon who granted girls wishes about their unfaithful partners. After a spell going wrong she became human and fell in love with Xander. She dies in battle in the finale of season 7, "Chosen".
Cordelia Chase was a character of Buffy for the first 3 seasons before she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. She ended up meeting Angel and joined his spin-off of Buffy, Angel. Sadly, Cordelia died in the fifth and last season of Angel after an evil being used Cordelia's body to give birth to itself.
Fred Burkle had been trapped in a demon dimension for five years. After being rescued by Angel and the team, she became one of them. In season five her body was used by a god named Illyria, thus killing her.
Wesley Wyndam-Pryce started out as Faith's watcher from the Buffy season 3 episode, "Bad Girls". After Faith went evil/insane, Wesley tried to capture her, but failed and was fired from the council because of it. They wouldn't pay for his ticket back to England, so he stayed in the U.S., hunting demons as a rogue demon hunter. He met up with Angel and Cordelia, and he began to work with them. Wesley dies in the season 5 finale, "Not Fade Away".
